OMG, it's National Cat Day! I know the Internet is made of cats, but this is almost ridiculous - didn't we just celebrate National Ginger Cat Appreciation Day, like, yesterday? Not that I mind really; I love any excuse to get an extra treat or two. (I've been put on this crazy diet, but more on that next time.)
So it's been four years since Mommy and Daddy adopted me. I remember that when they brought me home, they kept me in the guestroom because they wanted me to slowly get used to my new surroundings. But I was having none of that. The minute one of them opened the door to come in, I dashed out to see what the outside world looked like. And you know what? Thanks to Mommy and Daddy, the outside world is a very good place, indeed.Â
This National Cat Day, it's my hope and wish that all other cats can be as lucky as me. I hope that anyone who's considering adopting a furry feline just takes the plunge. I hope that everyone who loves cats will inspire the rest of the world with their paw-sitivity. And most of all, I hope that the people who dislike or fear cats will still continue to show kindness and respect to our race. Who knows, maybe they'll even change their minds someday!Â
