Yawnnn…Oh, hello there! Sorry for the yawn, I just returned home from the city that never sleeps so I’m catching up on all the naps I missed out on being at NY Now. Here’s a little rundown of all the fun my team and I had in the Big Apple!
When I first peeked out of my carrier I was blinded by the city’s bright lights flashing in every direction, especially from the glow coming from the iconic Madison Square Garden. After a few moments adjusting to my new environment, the familiar sights and smells of NY came flooding back to me. A pug never saw more yellow in one place than by looking up and down the busy streets filled with taxi cabs. And oh how I missed that savory smell of yummy deliciousness coming from the hot dog cart on the corner! It sure is different than the life of kale salads and Ubers I’m used to back home. I took in the excitement around me and couldn’t wait to get started preparing for NY Now, after I had a bite of hot dog of course.
After a quick bite to eat I settled into my Moroccan Pet Teepee and supervised the setup of our booth. I met plenty of fans, received countless belly rubs and had a pugtastic time showing off all of our new products. Our Best in Show Totes were no doubt showstoppers as people came by to check out their beautiful design and catchy phrases! Our Safari Toy Collection didn’t know what to make of this concrete jungle at first, but soon joined in the fun as they showed off their unique supersized squeakers and sliding hind limbs. Visitors were pleased to learn that for every one purchased, 2% of the proceeds are donated to the IFAW (International Fund for Animal Welfare) to help aid in the protection of wildlife.
During our downtime my pawrents and I stopped by to say hi to all of our friends at BarkBox Headquarters. I had a very special friend that I was most excited to say hello to. Noodle was sound asleep when I got there so I wobbled over, nudged him awake and barked, “Your dream came true, here I am!” Naturally he was a bit stunned to see the pug of his dreams standing in front of him, but he shook off his sleepiness and showered me with wet kisses. Long distance relationships aren’t always easy, but it’s moments like these that make them worth it!
After catching up with my BHP (Big Hunky Pug) I was ready to head back for the final leg of the show. Channeling my inner hipster I grabbed my Howling Hound Headphones and Lens Licker Camera and jumped into my carrier, ready to hit the streets in style. When we arrived back at our booth I noticed some vendors chatting up my team about our new products. One of them carried a gym bag that I couldn’t resist getting a closer look at.
As you can tell from the pic I was sad to part with it. Finally I had found a gym bag that understood me! I’ll have to make sure I add that bag to my Christmas list this year. Or maybe I’ll just ask for a stocking full of cinnamon buns…
Thank you to all who stopped by our booth to say hi and to check out our new products! It’s always fun being back in New York and meeting all the fans. If you weren’t able to make it out this year don’t worry. All of our new products are now up on our website for you to check out!
