If there’s one thing I’ve learned as a single pup on Valentine’s Day it’s that there is absolutely nothing wrong with being single on Valentine’s Day! Don’t get me wrong, it would be pawsome to have a beau sweep me off my paws and bring my a platter of my favfurite Honest Kitchen “Smooches” Treats after a long day at work, but as you all have noticed my dating life has been rather nonexistent lately. What can I say; I’m married to the job!
This year I’ve decided to do something not only for me but for my furiends as well! I will be hosting a Galentine’s Day pawty to show all of my furiends (single or taken) how much they mean to me and that you don’t need to be in a relationship to celebrate love on February 14th. Check out these simple steps I took in planning my pawsome pawty so you can plan your own lovable get together!
Food
If you were expecting me to start this list by talking about something other than food, you’ve broken my heart. Just kidding! But yes it’s true, the way to my heart is through food and I know my gal pals feel the same way (take note fellas). I convinced my pawrents to order some of my favfurite snacks, including pupperoni pizza, pupsicles and lots and lots of Honest Kitchen “Cuddles” Treats. These tasty snacks are guaranteed to get any pawty started in no time! Once the food arrives and we are all nomming away, I will then announce that it’s time to put down the pizza and grab the popcorn because it’s movie time.
Fun
After passing up on "The Notebook", "Love Actually" and "Lady and the Tramp" (this was a hard one for me to pass up, I mean have you seen the Tramp?? *woof*), we finally settled on what I think is the best Galentine’s Day movie around, "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants". Along with watching a pawsome movie full of girl power and good times, we also dabbled in a few rounds of Find the Treat, Pin the Tail on the Great Dane, and Chase the Squirrel.
Favors
When all the fun has been had and it’s time to say goodbye to your guests, don’t forget to send them on their way with a pawsome goody bag! I filled each pawty favor with an adorable Puppy Love Toy Set to remind my furiends how much I love them. And since I’m such a good host, I also gave each of my gal pals their very own Snuggle Bed to take home. What could be better than a new cozy bed and fun plush toy set?
If you find yourself solo this Valentine’s Day I hope you will consider using my pawsome pawty tips to throw your own Galentine’s Day get together! Don’t forget to send an invite to your favorite pug named Momo ;)
