4 Physical Signs for Pets in Imminent Danger

Pets are exactly like human beings in that their health is immensely valuable. If you have a cat or dog and notice anything out of the ordinary, you need to take immediate action. Prompt action can often mean the difference between wellness and serious medical concerns in animals. Take note of any and all physical symptoms that may denote health conditions in pets.

Loss of Fur

Loss of fur can be a health warning signal for pets. If you take a close look at your pet’s coat and notice sparse or empty sections, these could signify an issue that requires prompt attention. If you notice bits of fur in random areas all over your home, then this may be a sign that something just isn’t right.

Problems Getting Up

Dogs and cats are often sprightly creatures. They often adore nothing more than getting up and moving around. If you notice all of a sudden that your pet is having a difficult time getting up from the floor, then that could be a sign of a major problem. A pet that no longer has any enthusiasm for outdoor walks and play sessions is often in poor health.

Blood in the Urine or Stool

It’s important for pet owners to always pay careful attention to their pets’ bathroom patterns. If you take a look at your pet’s urine or stool matter and notice the presence of blood, this can point to a serious medical emergency that just can’t wait. Some companies, like South Seattle Veterinary Hospital, know that if you notice anything odd about your pet’s elimination habits, you need to get in contact with a veterinarian without delay.
