As you know, we pride ourselves on making eco-friendly pet beds and accessories. Since Earth Day is this Sunday, April 22nd, we wanted to share a couple of our favorite new companies that make it so easy to go green.

To us, being green isn't just about being good to the planet. It's about being good to ourselves too! We try to make sure we eat as naturally and healthily as possible - that includes Miss Momo! That's why when we met Andrea and Bocce, the mastermind and inspiration behind Bocce's Bakery, we were in love! Bocce's Bakery specializes in all-natural, preservative and chemical-free biscuits for our four-legged family members. In addition to the freshest ingredients, all of the yummy treats are even hand-made! With flavors like Fish & Chips, Truffle Mac &  Cheese and The Big Apply Pie, your pup will be in biscuit heaven - you'll be tempted to try them yourselves...

We've said it before and we'll say it again: everyone poops. A trait of a responsible dog owner is whether or not they scoop that poop. While we like to recycle and reuse, grocery bags that you use to get rid of your pup's waste (which yes, is better than just throwing them away), can take up to 1,000 (yes, 1,000) years to breakdown. That's a lot of years for carrying your groceries and some poop. We say, take that extra step and get some biodegradable bags.

At the HH Backer show, we came across a great new company called Earth Rated. There are definitely a lot of poop bag companies out there - but Earth Rated touts PoopBags that are bigger, thicker, tougher and, for those days when Buddy is dragging his butt, totally leak-proof. If you're like us, leak-proof is important. In as quick as 24 months, these bags break down into completely natural carbon dioxide and water - and 24 months is WAY better than 1,000 years. What we especially love is that they also create compostable bags made from all-natural ingredients (like corn) that break down in as little as 40 days. Poop bags have never been so cool.

Lately, we've seen a wide array of commercials targeting dog lovers - after all, over 39% of US households have at least one dog!  It's no surprise that the top three rated ads from the Super Bowl all featured four-legged stars.There's even a new TV channel created just for dogs.

At some point we've all made a purchasing decision based on our pets. That's why we personally love the new ads that are marketed towards our dogs. Subaru is a great example - they are known for being super safe and dog-friendly. (Heck, one of our P.L.A.Y. team members even traded in her mustang for a Subaru after she got her four-legged family member.) Their new campaign "Dog Tested. Dog Approved" shows dogs doing normal, everyday human things - it's just so much more awesome seeing adorable pups doing them! LOL. Subaru's YouTube channel features 14 hilarious clips of pups camping, skiing, and even going through the drive thru. Our favorite by far is when two sweet dogs, get their parking spot stolen by the sneaky cat. (How dare he!?)
