After the devasting earthquake that hit Japan this month, we've been thinking about how important it is to not take anything for granted. Momo lives so simply, we always know when she's happy, sleepy, hungry - even when she is feeling a little fiesty. She made us realize that there is so much we can learn from our dogs. Here is our list of the top ten lessons our dogs teach us.

When loved ones come home, always run to greet  them.

Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.

Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.

Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.

Enjoy the little things; take naps, roll in the mud, run in circles and savor tasty treats.
When you're happy, dance around  and wag your entire body.

If what you want lies buried, dig until you find  it.

On warm  days, stop to lie on your back on the grass.

When  someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle them gently.

Be loyal and don't hold grudges. Live in the moment.

With how busy our lives get, it's easy to forget how fortunate we really are. There are thousands of animals in Japan that need our help. If you're able to, consider donating to a legitimate cause - check out Global Pets for more infomation.
